Accordingly, the health component of EA is but one of the many elements that enter into the decision-making process.
While the health component is normally allotted a single chapter in these studies, a more thorough reading of the impact study as a whole is necessary to fully understand the context.

In some Australian states, such as Tasmania (PEHB, 1997), a separate process is favoured for health component guidelines, but these remain generic guidelines that can be applied to all projects.
